Today we’re continuing our review of the latest Monkie Kid wave with 2 new Hero vehicles: the White Dragon Horse Jet and Monkie Kid’s Lion Guardian. We were sent these sets by LEGO but our view is unbiased and we aim to provide a unique review from the perspective of a MOC builder and fan of building techniques. We score sets out of 100, giving 20 points each for a variety of factors.
Mei’s newest vehicle, the White Dragon Horse Jet, is wonderfully sleek and beautifully detailed. The color scheme is consistent with previous White Dragon Horse builds and is the cherry on top of the Jet’s design—the wings are the perfect example of this.
Monkie Kid’s Lion Guardian is an impressive, mech-like build but falls short in its design. Overall, the Lion is very broad at the legs and shoulders, and balances perfectly over the middle of its body, which actually makes it harder to handle and pose the rear legs. The set does, however, boasts some of the best side builds of the entire Wave 3.
Check out our full reasonings below! Will you be picking up either of these sets? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned for our last Monkie Kid review of this wave!
