#1302 SET REVIEW: 10283 Space Shuttle Discovery

Today, we’re blasting off into space with our latest review of LEGO’s new Space Shuttle Discovery. This iconic spacecraft comes with the equally famous Hubble Space Telescope, allowing you to recreate and display the historic moment the telescope was launched in space. We were sent this set by LEGO but our view is unbiased. We aim to provide a unique review from our perspective on building techniques and MOC inspiration! We’ll score this set out of 100, with five different criteria each worth 20 points.

Though this isn’t the first time LEGO has produced a set depicting this space shuttle, it is unprecedented in its level of accuracy and attention to detail. It's an impressive display piece featuring mechanism and techniques that we drooled over! Thanks to the ingenious use of slopes, clips, and studs-not-on-top techniques, it's almost doesn’t look as if it is made out of LEGO which we definitely commend the designers on.
