DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION: Mental Health and LEGO!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and here at Tips&Bricks, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge how many of our followers and friends use LEGO not only as a source of joy but also as a source of comfort from their own personal struggles or as an expressive art medium to illustrate those struggles.

We’ve taken our usual feature of interesting MOCs and AFOLs and spliced it with information about mental health, including what the LEGO Group has put together themselves. Please note: we are not professionals, but we have consulted reliable resources to begin a conversation about mental health and how it relates to LEGO. Please consult with your local/national mental health organizations for more information regarding mental health and well being.

Thank you to @gracefulbricks for your feedback and input on this topic, and the members of LEGO Saved My Life for sharing how you enjoy LEGO. And thank you to all the artists for sharing their work and stories. If you would like to be involved in the creation of any of these posts, or if you have ideas for similar D&I posts we can create, please get in touch by sending us a message!
