When designing MOCs, especially on digital design softwares, it can be easy to forget that the builds needs to be structurally sound (aka not fall apart if you actually build it). So even if a technique you have used looks amazing, if the connection is weak it will not be suitable when/if you choose to make it with real bricks.
Unfortunately there is no way to test digitally if a connection is strong, but if you have more than 1 connection (or more depending on the size) you should be fine building with real bricks.
You can also use pieces that have multiple connection points instead of just a connection of 1 stud. This will hold the attached pieces more securely and then you can almost definitely guarantee it will be a strong connection.
