The AT-TE walker is a fan favourite vehicle that charged battlefields in the days of the Clone Wars. Many rejoiced when this 2022 set was revealed, especially with Commander Cody included alongside four other Phase 2 clones. So does the set live up to the hype?
The set was a high scorer in many of our categories, as there are a numerous improvements over previous versions like the spacious interior, more accurate feet sizes and detailed minifigures. A lot of techniques stay the same, but work well so why change them? However, the set falls into many of the same pitfalls as other Star Wars sets - a lot of grey and unspecialised parts (which is to be expected but doesn't make this set ideal for MOC builders) plus a steep price tag.
