#210 Favourite Brick Friday: 35480 Modified Plate 1x2 Rounded with 2 Open Studs

This week's favourite brick is the 1x2 rounded plate with open studs. This is a very new piece (not even available on Stud.io yet), having only been introduced in 2018 and only used in 3 official sets. However, even though its currently in short supply, I am hopeful it will appear in more sets, as its potential for techniques is exciting.

Ever since a piece very similar to this, the 1x1 open stud was released in 2009, builders have been wanting more pieces with open studs. The 1x1 open studs allowed builders to attach rods into it, allowing it for use in various techniques.

This new piece however, has many more uses because its rounded. This means you can use it to make curved walls and other shapes with the rounded edges.
