#252 Favourite Brick Friday: 59230 Arm Mechanical, Straight with Clips

This week's favourite brick of the week is the mechanical arm, sometimes called the droid arm due to its use for Star Wars battle droids. The arm has two clip connection, that can be used to attach it to numerous others with hinges and handles.

As well as this, the arm can be loosely secured to other clips, as shown in the picture. This is an "illegal" connection (puts stress on the piece) but can look very good as it utilizes the pieces thin profile and provides a clean look when connected clip to clip compared to handle/hinge to clip. It is used in the Bucyrus RH400 Mining Shovel MOC by Sheo. on Flickr, and this along with some other great building techniques makes it one of my favourite vehicles builds ever.
