#265 TECHNIQUES - SNOT-Brick bending

Today's technique is by James Shields on Flickr, who has created a shield generator for his Hoth MOC. Brick bending is a technique where you loosely attach bricks together, in an attempt to create curves or other shapes that wouldn't be possible by just stacking bricks.

In this technique, James has incorporated SNOT brackets with brick bending, which allow shim to not only create a curve, but line that curve with more slopes to create a sleek and attractive design. LEGO does not produce curves to the size James needed, so this is a great technique to use for a range of MOCs where you need to create your on custom curves to a scale.
