#277 TECHNIQUES - Grassy balcony

Today's technique is from Lårs Kumpfert on Flickr, who has created an elegant balcony design using a variety of pieces.

Firstly, the frame of the balcony is made up of droid arms and a 6L bar (6 studs wide). This utilises the piece's thin profile and the hinge of the droid arm which gives a nice angle.

Interestingly, the 6L bar is held up by a unusual piece; a grass stem (piece number 15279). The bar is inserted into this piece, incorporating a natural element into the balcony. The looks much cleaner than if generic clips were used, as it blends in well to the overall design.
