Today's technique is by "Micah the Fire-Breathing Hobbit" on Flickr, who has used the net element in a unique way to create an interesting wall design.
The net element is great to use in MOCs as it is not rigid and therefore can be easily shaped. When 1x1 studs are placed inside the net holes, a curved wall can be created when 1x2 plates and tiles are attached and the net is shaped into a curve.
This technique has lots of potential, and could be used on a large scale to create a curved wall of any angle. I think the friction between the studs and the net would even by strong enough to make a upside down surface.
