#356 TECHNIQUES - Intricate SNOT flooring

Today's technique shows that you don't always need a fancy technique, and that just a few simple parts can look amazing. The intricate flooring is by Michael Howell who posted his Jabba's Palace MOC in the Facebook group LEGO Star Wars Fans. Here is his original post: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155406776950598&set=pcb.1631151063679311&type=3&theater

Michael has used bricks positioned on their sides (Studs Not On Top), to utilize their flat sides. He has however provided some texture with the 1x1 gold studs, and creates some simple but great patterns with common parts in different colours, such as the 1x2x4 slopes that fit together perfectly. The plates positioned sideways allows Michael to get in much more detail than if the plates were stacked normally of if tiles were used.
