#363 TECHNIQUES - Curved surface with minimal gaps

Today's technique is by a new builder on Flickr called Liam Biggs. His first post was his train MOC, in which he used an interesting technique that has many more applications than just a train roof.

Liam has used a combination of pieces, which allow the angling of sloped tiles This is because the 1L bar with clip can be moved in and out of the modified brick with studs on the side, therefore the 1x2 hinge plate can be angled to line up the edges of the slopes.

When using hinges, often unsightly gaps are created. With this technique, although possibly not that strong and not very compact, you can eliminate that problem.

Make sure to follow Liam on Flickr for what I am sure will be more awesome techniques and MOCs: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164578994@N04/40895355840/in/pool-2836229@N20/
