#452 TECHNIQUES - Cherry blossom tree

Today's technique is a stunning foliage technique that can create the blossom seen on cherry blossom trees. The technique is by James Shields; check out his Flickr for more pictures: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lostcarpark/17026530504/in/album-72157652952649032/

This technique primarily uses 4 main parts; those being the 6x5 leaf, flowers connected to the sprue, the plant stem and the 1x2 modified plate with vertical bar.

The 6x5 leaf acts as the base with the plant stems being built on the studs. The flowers are then connected, as well as being connected to more plant stems and flowers. Because these other parts are not connected to the base, they sag a little to create the rounded shape of the foliage. Finally, the build is attached to the trees branches by connecting the modified plate's bar to the base's open studs.
