Gears and technic in general don't come naturally to a lot of builders, including myself, because the techniques and construction are a whole new form of LEGO building that takes experience and practice to get used to.



I was researching for the automatic part sorter I'm working on and found this very useful tutorial by Sariel.pl. It's a great read to explain the very basics of LEGO gearing but also including a lot of detail if you're looking to use complex gearing and technic in your MOCs.
