#516 TECHNIQUES: Thatched roof technique

Today's technique is another stunner by Emil Lidé aka. FullPlate on Flickr, who has created a thatched roof using an ingenious method.

The technique involves positing the various bars in close proximity to one another, and it's hard to see how its been done. Luckily, Emil's created a handy tutorial on his website, that you should definitely check out here: https://fullplatebuilds.com/…/11/25/thatched-roof-tutorial/…

The low-down of the technique uses multiple sections of bars connected to 1x1 modified plates with clips. These clips are attached together at various angles, and then the jumper plates allow Emil to attach the sections together with minimal gaps.
