Today's technique is a very complex brick wall technique created by Cab on Flickr. For the full explanation by the builder himself, check out this post:

The overall effect is stunning, but the process to get to this is pretty complicated. Put simply, you first have to make the 'bricks' by placing four 1x2 grill tiles together, two facing up and two facing down. Next a supporting back wall must be constructed, where neck brackets can attach to. These will secure the bricks in place and although there is no physical connection, it is enough to hold the wall together.
