Today we're showing the latest and greatest tree technique by Emil Lidé, aka. Full Plate Builds. He's created some awesome techniques in the past, and the way he builds both the trunk and canopy of this tree doesn't disappoint.
Let's start with the trunk. An inner core of 1x1 modified bricks with studs on all sides is used, and various dark brown slopes are attached to this, creating the natural and uneven texture.
Next we have the canopy, which uses stems and flowers plates to position green slopes in sphere-like bushes. 1x1 modified bricks with studs on the side are used again to position these bushes, and with a lot of experimentation you can produce a canopy from the individual bushes with very few gaps.
