#582 MOC of the Week: 'Menegroth' by Carter Witz

This week's MOC feature is a detailed micro-build scene called 'Menegroth' by Carter Witz on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/145118906@N05/46179181611/in/dateposted/

The overall appearance of the scene is stunning, with the perfect mix of muted colours and highlights of moss and brown tree trunks. However, when we start to look at the finer details, we can truly appreciate the beauty of the build, which is littered with unique part uses. For example, suitcases are used backwards in light bluish grey to create textured pillars, as well as regular leaf pieces used to create the micro-scale tree canopy. The rockwork is also impressive, using a range of slopes and directions of building to create the natural yet rugged and random texture.
