#627 TECHNIQUES: Cheese slope water technique

Today we're looking at what may appear to be a simple water technique, but look closer and a lot of thought had been put in to create the effect. Built by Felix Nygren, you can follow him on Flickr here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141891133@N03/

Firstly, light blue transparent plates are used beneath clear transparent plates and transport 1x1 slopes or 'cheese' slopes. This creates an effect of depth and adds a splash of colour while keeping it looking as realistic as possible. Felix then uses the cheese slopes again but uses the clear slopes in conjunction with dark tan slopes, creating a very smooth and natural transition between the water and bank.
