#704 TECHNIQUES: Textured tree canopy

Today we're looking at how you can create a textured tree canopy for your MOCs. Most builds just use the classic 6x3 and 4x3 leaf which can look very good, but Brent Waller on Flickr has gone the extra mile with his Zen Bonsai build: https://www.flickr.com/photos/wetwired/47963006298/in/album-72157708830579412/

He chooses to attach stem pieces, specifically the variant with 3 stems, to create an interesting texture. Furthermore, he's managed to create a full canopy by positioning the leaf and stem pieces with various bars and technic linkers. It's also worth mentioning that awesome trunk design featuring a variety of slopes positioned at different angles, which you should definitely go take a better look at and support on LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ca8eed3e-61d3-4e2e-8978-6a71fc273356?fbclid=IwAR1sV9QXXy23jtWnatnxdVABRXwEXcWokTsXcgn5-6_3G5vZ1GPoThGQYyI
