#735 TECHNIQUE DISCUSSION: Lava techniques

Today we're discussing lava techniques! Compared to something like water, there aren't actually that many options as you can only really use either transparent plates or create a gradient with bricks or plates. Which technique is your favourite? In my opinion, the gradient looks best for larger applications and transparent parts for smaller applications.
