#762 TIPS: Building style for creating MOCs

Building style; whether you tip all your pieces out and go free style or have every part organised perfectly, everyone has a building style for creating MOCs. Today I'll be discussing my favourite way to build and I'd love this to be a discussion, so please share your thoughts in the comments.

Firstly, I definitely prefer physical building, although I started with digital design softwares due to a lack of a part collection. Now that I have a part collection, my favourite way to build is to select certain colours and types of pieces, in this case let's say slopes, and just tip them out. These pieces are lightly sorted (meaning all the slopes of one colour are together), so I'll have access to a range of slopes, which varies the parts I use. I'm definitely much faster at building this way as I'm limited to certain pieces and that's part of the fun of it. It's a lot of trial and error as is the same in probably with every builder, but I love to have all the pieces tipped out instead of choosing them from a sorting cabinet as I go along or having access to infinite bricks on digital softwares.

So now that you've read my process, how do you choose to build your MOCs? Do you feel overwhelmed by the number of bricks in digital softwares and simply need to physically hold the bricks or do you like the unlimited selection? Let's discuss!
