This week's favourite brick is the technic link chain, commonly used in City sets but actually has a popular alternative use among custom builders.
When multiple are connected together, the chain's unique texture makes it perfect for applications such as tree trunks. Builds pictured by balbo._, ranghaal and elemental_lego utilise it to great effect, and the circular shpaes created contrast well to the usual blocky nature of LEGO.
