#815 TECHNIQUE ANAYLSIS: ‘Barrels Out of Bond’

Today we're looking at an example of what we think is a simple yet very effective MOC by Josh on Flickr. Even just looking at the landscape around the scene, which uses a great variety of olive green, dark tan and dark bluish grey. The rockwork is a highlight with various slopes making small ridges which contrast well to the studless wall. Lastly, the barrels holding the hobbits are cleverly constructed using 1x2 tiles and elastic bands (which are official LEGO parts and come in sets such as X-Wings).
