#1574 TECHNIQUES: Star Wars Wall Textures

Today’s technique post serves as a great backdrop to “display droids and stuff,” as the builder @tim_goddard928 says. Although it uses a simplistic colour palette, the techniques do an excellent job emulating the interior of the Death Star from Star Wars Episodes 4 through 6. Subtle insets and protrusions, coupled with consistent vertical and horizontal lines, create an industrial-sci-fi appearance perfect for any Star Wars diorama.

Surprisingly, some of the best techniques in this build use pieces 1x2 studs or smaller. These small pieces allow for easy greebling, both through the texture they provide and the repetitiveness of the seams between bricks. Coupled with the patterns of bricks on the walls, these techniques transport you and your figures right to the imperial halls of the Death Star.
