#1853 MOC OF THE WEEK: Portrait of Rem Koolhaas by @ernestolemke

This week's MOC of the Week is a portrait of renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. hundreds of tiles and plates, seemingly placed at random, create a super-realistic effect when you back up.

While it may seem at first like the same techniques used in official LEGO mosaics, the artist achieves far greater detail and colour accuracy through layering and a huge selection of elements. Plus, he has a trick or two up his sleeve!
