#293 TECHNIQUES - Conical Tree Tutorial

Today I will be showcasing a tree technique by Emil Lidé on Flickr. Check out his tutorial here: https://fullplatebuilds.com/2018/04/14/spruce-tutorial/

Firstly, Emil has created a frame from round bricks encases in brick built roots made from various brown and black parts. Next, he interlocks the leaves to create rings. Emil then pushes down gently, to position them into a cone shape (this only puts a little pressure on the pieces). And lastly he slide each cone on and its complete.

The final appearance of this tree is one of the best I've seen, and what's great is that the technique itself isn't too complicated compared to others. This means anyone can include it in their MOCs and take inspiration from it.
