#403 TECHNIQUES: Stain glass windows

Today's post is two techniques for stain glass windows in one awesome MOC; part of a collaborative project where the builder ForlornEmpire on Flickr and others posted a technique every day for a month. Check out his post here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/eliwillsea/14291535601/in/pool-2679828@N23/

The first technique uses transparent 1x1 "cheese" slopes, held in place only by an outer brick-built frame and the friction between the pieces. Some great mosaics can be achieved using this, but it can be tricky and frustrating to put together.

The second uses the base of a 2x2 turntable, where these pieces are held together with 1x2 transparent plates. This gives the design a distinct inner frame as well as letting the colour of the 1x2 plates be shown.
