#515 TECHNIQUES: Train techniques

Techniques for creating trains is a topic heavily requested on Instagram, so today we'll be looking at two techniques you can use for building curves and rounded surfaces into your designs.

The first technique is by Simon Jakobi and creates a rounded surface for the back or front of the train. This is done using hinge bricks positioned on their sides, and because there are multiple hinges, the attached parts can be angled to create the rounded surface. The second technique by Liam Biggs relies on the perfect positioning of pieces. Mechanical claw pieces connect to headlight bricks and hinges, allowing the curved roof to be created with minimal gaps between the different sections.
