#641 TECHNIQUES: Smashed window technique

Windows can allow for some great LEGO building techniques, but smashed windows open up even more opportunities. You may think they'd be hard to create, but take a look at the techniques in the MOCs pictures and you'll see it's actually easy if you've got the right pieces.

The three examples all use 1x1 transparent clear cheese slopes to create a smashed effect. This is because even though they're called 'transparent', their translucent qualities are perfect for the desired effect. Other pieces such as 1x2 bricks can be used to create similar details of smashed glass, especially if both variants are used; those with and without a tube.
