Today we're sharing a technique we're calling scattered brick bases which is as simple as using scattered bricks (those with no/not many physical connections between the pieces) to build the base of a MOC. It's very easy to do, but depending on what pieces you choose, a variety of landscapes can be created.
This technique creates irregular sized bases which can look better than just square or rectangular bases, as they look more natural. The builds pictured use a combination of wedge plates/slopes to create a rugged environment, and also feature transparent parts to simulate water.
