#73 Monday's MOC of the Week: Mos Eisley Cantina

This weeks is by a user called I Scream Clone on Flickr: he has over 2.7M views on his photos since joining Flickr in 2008. His most viewed MOC is the one we will look at today, the Mos Eisley Cantina: https://www.flickr.com/photos/iscreamclone/

Located on the desert planet of Tatooine, this cantina has been depicted many times in LEGO form, because of the significant role it plays in Episode 4, as Han Solo and Chewbacca meet Ben Kenobi and Luke Skywalker for the first time. It is also a host to scum and villainy, and these characters help bring the cantina to life, in both this MOC and the movie. These bright colours of all the different minifigures provide a great contrast to the light tan or sand colour scheme, and other highlights of gold at the bar add to the effect.

He has also cleverly used parts, with the bar area being a particular highlight. Techniques such as SNOT have been used to give details such as the tables and the lights attached to the walls. The walls are also shaped very well using hinged bricks to angle them, instead of just creating a rectangular building.
