#737 TECHNIQUES: Parts for stone detailing

Today we're looking at a very unique stonework that uses some clever parts to look like sculptured stone. Created by Milán Bikics on Flickr, check out his post here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bikicsmilan/6944732868/in/dateposted/

The immediate stand out part, at least for me, was the rat's tails, which are perfect for creating the 'hair' of the stone statue. Below that, other pieces such as owls, chests, technic and more work well. To by honest, if you're trying to do this yourself, just make sure to use all of one colour and the more unique pieces the better! You can use some discoloured / yellowed bricks for a cool effect too.
