#842 TECHNIQUES: Leaf weaving technique

We've shared leaf weaving techniques before: techniques that 'weave' the 4x3 leaves together so that the friction between them holds them in rings. Today we're showing how you can then attach this structure to the trunk and base by using Star Wars blaster pieces.

It turns out the angle of the blasters is perfect for attaching to the slight slant of the leaves. Using this method, you can actually secure the trees to the base instead of just balancing them on a trunk and hoping for the best.

Another modification I made to the classic version of the technique as shown by Chris Maddison's winter scene was adding an extra leaf piece to the top of the tree to finish it off.
