#154 Favourite Brick Friday: 4599 Dish 3x3 Inverted

This piece was first produced in 2003, and has many uses in MOCs, such as greebling, engines and satellites to name a few.

Because of the pieces rounded shape, it does not clip into studs like most parts do. Instead, it is connected using other pieces smaller than it to let it sit above the studs. Tiles can also be combined with it to allow it to sit flush with the surface.

This piece is useful because of the hole through the middle which allows rods or bars to be connected through it. This means you can connect a variety of other pieces that have holes in, making it perfect for cylindrical shapes such as engines.
