#832 TIPS: New and old grey

Will like to take Saturday's post for unique topics, and today we're discussing the colour differences between grey pieces. This is due to LEGO changing their colour palette in 2004.

The colour used to be stone grey but is now called bluish by the community because of the "cooler" shade of the colour. As you can see from the pictures, the difference is very small but can just be disguised, therefore causing confusion between builders when it was introduced. Nowadays, the colour difference is actually utilised in techniques such as walls or rockwork to create a natural colour variation.
